- News "food chain" breakdown.
- Trading the mainstream news (Bloomberg, Acquire Media, CNBC,
etc...). Understanding News Cycles.
- Trading events triggered by the popular press (Cramer, Motley
Fool, etc).
DAY 2
- "Sympathy trading"--trading stocks in the same sector.
- Interrelationship of stock sectors and corresponding trade
opportunities.
- Contra Trading—knowing when to initiate a position in the
opposite direction of the face value of its news event.
- Understanding Federal Open Market Committee actions
regarding interest rates and other FOMC commentary, and
identifying resulting trading opportunities.
- Fading Fed news moves.
- Trading and understanding fundamental news events.
